Dunseith Man Killed in Rollover Near Rugby Identified

A 46-year-old Dunseith man killed in an accident Monday has been identified.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a 46-year-old Dunseith man killed in an accident Monday afternoon. Michael Bercier was a passenger in a 1997 GMC Jimmy and died at the scene. The driver, Linus Bercier III, 34, of Dunseith was injured in the rollover and transported to the hospital in Rugby, then airlifted to Trinity Hospital in Minot. The accident took place six miles north of Rugby at about 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both men were wearing their seat belts. The crash is still under investigation, with charges pending for Bercier, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
