The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office confirmed Thursday that one man is dead and two more critically injured following a shooting Wednesday afternoon on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in the town of Redby.

Dead is Julian Demarrias, age 22. Injured are Jerrick Demarrias, 19, and Orland Spears, 19.

The FBI says the shootout appeared to be the result of a long-standing feud between two rival groups.

In a Thursday statement, Minneapolis FBI Special Agent in Charge Ralph Boelter says the shootout involved five or six men from two groups.

The alleged shooter according to the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office is Donald Clark Jr. He has not been located. Witnesses said Clark was driving a black, 1988 GMC Yukon with Red Lake license plates 19287. Witnesses also stated that they heard 8-10 gun shots near the main street in Redby and observed the black Yukon with a cream colored stripe on the side speed away from the scene. Evidence at the scene suggests that more than one shooter was possible. Authorities also say that the suspect(s) may be heavily armed.

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety and the FBI are seeking information on locating a person of interest, Cruz White.
