More than three-quarters of North Dakota's grain and sunflower crops have been harvested thanks to the return of favorable weather.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) - More than three-quarters of North Dakota's grain and sunflower crops have been harvested thanks to the return of favorable weather.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Monday in its weekly crop and weather report that 84 percent of the cron crop and 76 percent of the sunflower crop has been harvested.

The corn harvest is now nearly a month ahead of average, and the sunflower harvest also moved ahead of average.

Farmers are also working on applying fertilizer and completing fall tillage.
