This man successfully merged traditional radio with the internet. Now Tim Westergren is in Grand Forks talking about how he created his successful website Pandora.com. Westergren stopped by the Coffee Company on south Columbia Road.
All you have to do is type in the name of your favorite musical artist and Pandora will give you a list of other similar musical performers. It's like a tailor-made radio.
Westergren is a former musician and says he created the site to give other musicians exposure. The website took a few years to get noticed, but that soon changed.
"Once we launched the website itself, it really took off like a rocket ship. Now the last years have been about managing growth," Westergren said.
Westergren does these meet and greets all over the country hoping to get feedback on his website.
