One Dead in Pennington County Head-On Collision

The Minnesota Highway Patrol says one person was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision one mile south of Thief River Falls.

The Minnesota Highway Patrol says one person was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision one mile south of Thief River Falls.

The Patrol says a 1997 Chrysler Concorde was traveling north on Highway 59 when a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta that was driving south crossed over the center line. The crash happened around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The incident report states road conditions were dry.

The names of the people involved in the crash have not been released, pending notification of extended family.

The Pennington County sheriff's office and Thief River Falls Police responded to the accident.
