Recount: Delmore Wins ND District 43 House Seat By 5 Votes

Lois Delmore has been declared the winner in North Dakota's District 43 House after a day-long recount. The final tally showed Delmore with 1,899 votes over Don Dietrich's 1,894.

There is finally a declared winner for the District 43 House seat in North Dakota. After a day-long recount of more than 4,000 votes the winner is incumbent Lois Delmore with 1,899 votes over Don Dietrich's 1,894 votes. The final tally narrowed Delmore's lead to 5 votes over Dietrich. Only 7 votes initially separated the two in the November general election.

The initial 7 votes prompted an automatic recount that was held Monday.

Delmore is a democrat will now head to Bismarck in January with republican winner Curt Kreun to represent District 43 House.
