BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The executive director of the North Dakota Republican Party is resigning.
Adam Jones says he's going back to his home state of Utah to be closer to family and pursue other options.
Jones held the post about two years. He says he came to North Dakota to get two Republicans elected to Congress, and that's been accomplished with the election of John Hoeven to the Senate and Rick Berg to the House.
Jones says he'll work through December to help the party as it transitions to a new chairman. Whoever fills that post will spearhead the hiring of a new executive director.
