Manitobans are heading to the U-S in droves to give thanks for a powerful Canadian dollar during the Christmas shopping season.
The Canada Border Services Agency is expecting a 40-per-cent increase in the number of Manitobans crossing the border to shop during the U-S Thanksgiving weekend.
More than five-thousand Manitobans went south on the weekend following Remembrance Day.
Menard's, a home improvement store in Grand Forks, says 30 per cent of its customers are Canadians.
