Fergus Falls, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A Fergus Falls man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly attacking another man with a hatchet.
Police received a call around 1:40 pm that a man had been struck in the head with a hatchet at a home on the 600 block of Laurel Street. A caller reported Dustin Leroy Helps, 19, fled the scene in a red van after the attack.
Helps was arrested for second degree assault with a dangerous weapon. The man who Helps allegedly attacked was treated and later released from Lake Region Hospital.
The extent of his injuries have not yet been released.
