The wild ride at the US Women's Open is over for Oxbow's Amy Anderson. But she certainly left her mark on the golf world.

Competing as an amateur here at the US Open, she wasn't eligible to win any money or take home prizes, but that didn't stop here from leaving impressions, on golf's biggest stage.

Cheryl John – Bloomington, PA:: “Being an amateur, we never expected an amateur to be leading the whole crew there, but she did a fine job.”

Pretty crazy, a girl from North Dakota.

Gary Krug – Colorado Springs, CO: “She looked like she really enjoyed the game. I’m not a golfer and I’ve never been to ND, but it looked like she had a lot of enthusiasm, and could add a lot to the game.

Cheryl: “She's nice. Everybody likes here. She’s nice to the fans.”

Pretty cool moment yesterday. What happened when Anderson went by?

Young fan: “She came thru the tunnel, we were standing by the doors. I asked for the glove, she gave it to us, she went inside and came back out and signed it. It was really special that she took the time to do it.”

You think she'll be on the LPGA tour ?

Gary: “I would think so. It looked like she knew how to play. If anyone has a chance, from what they were saying on TV, she was a very dedicated golfer. i would think she has a very good chance.”

If Anderson someday makes the pro tour, the fan base she developed this weekend, will be waiting for her

Anderson finished at 17-over par. A Champion was crowned today, after a 3-hole playoff.
