Man Sentenced to Over 26 Years in Prison for Gilby Bank Robbery
A Tennessee man who robbed a Gilby, ND bank has been sentenced to over 26 years in prison.
A Tennessee man who robbed a Gilby, ND bank has been sentenced to over 26 years in prison.
William Collins of Nashville, TN was sentenced in federal court Monday. He was charged with robbery by force, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and carrying a firearm in a violent crime. He has also been ordered to pay nearly $90,000 in restitution.
Police say Collins, along with Clifton Patterson of Grand Forks, robbed the Bremer Bank in Gilby of more than $50,000 in May 2009.
A woman, 48-year-old Debra Jensen, was recently sentenced to three years probation for providing a 12-gauge shotgun for the robbery.
