FARGO, N.D. (AP) — An officer with the North Dakota Highway Patrol escaped serious injury when his car was rear-ended on Interstate 94 by a suspected drunken driver.
A release from the patrol says Sgt. Troy Hischer was treated at a Fargo hospital after the Saturday evening crash but was soon released.
The patrol says Hischer's patrol car was traveling about 55 mph on I-94 in Cass County when it was struck from behind by a car traveling at a faster speed.
The driver of that car, a woman from Fargo, was not hurt. She faces a DUI charge.
