FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Police in Fargo say they've arrested a North Dakota Army National Guard member in connection with a reported sexual assault on a fellow Guard member at a Fargo motel.

Fargo Police Sgt. Mark Lykken says that 25-year-old Scott Allan Dahly of Bismarck was arrested on suspicion of gross sexual imposition after officers received a call from a hospital emergency room Sunday morning.

Lykken told the Forum that the 24-year-old Minnesota woman was in town for drill exercises and was staying at the motel. Police say Dahly also was staying at the motel.

Guard public affairs officer Capt. Dan Murphy says leadership is in contact with Fargo police and is cooperating in the investigation.

A message left by the Forum for Dahly at the jail Monday morning was not immediately returned.
