Employees at Central Boiler in Greenbush, MN, will no doubt have a merrier Christmas. The company is distributing bonuses totaling $1.1 million as part of its profit-sharing program.

This marks the 17th consecutive year of profit-sharing for the company.

Owners Dennis and Terri Brazier announced the bonus at the company's annual profit-sharing meeting, distributing the bonus to nearly 200 employees at the company's Greenbush facility.

Employees were given different bonus amounts based on length of employment, hours available to work, company profit and overall safety record, a news release said. December marks ten years with no lost days due to injuries.

"The safety of our employees is important and we have a comprehensive safety program that stresses this; however, it is the employees that make our safety record what it is. It is through their efforts, suggestions and dedication that we are able to run a safer, more productive operation," CEO Dennis Brazier said.

Central Boiler also matched up to 15% of the contributions employees made to their 401K accounts from their bonus. The profit share and safety bonus, along with the employer contributions to the employee 401K accounts, totaled more than $1.1 million dollars.

It was also announced that the company will now manufacture commercial zero-turn lawn mowers. "We have been extensively researching this vision for quite some time and have been making many preparations. This product line will be a complement to the products we currently produce and it will keep our manufacturing facility running at a consistent rate year round," said Dennis.

The company plans to release a variety of commercial lawn mowers in the summer of 2011 to dealers throughout the United States.
