West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Bail is set at $5,000 dollars for a West Fargo man accused of nearly hitting two young boys after police clocked him going 82 miles per hour in town. It happened Saturday night on 32nd Avenue near Sheyenne Street in West Fargo.

Police say 24-year-old Brandon Gutwein was 42 miles an hour over the posted speed of 40. When officers tried to pull him over, he didn't stop, running a red light and turning onto 7th Street West and then turning into an apartment complex.

Two young boys on bicycles had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. Gutwein then lost control and hit some garages before he was arrested.
