A 26 year-old Fargo woman is getting a chance to live her dream, and the whole nation can watch. ABC's new show Karaoke Battle USA is featuring a hometown favorite.

Her singing skills have gotten her thousands of hits on You Tube. Originally from Hutchinson, Minnesota, Cassandra Jopp came to Fargo about 6 years ago and has been singing ever since. Jopps first claim to fame came from her 2009 WeFest performance where she opened for country superstar Tim Mcgraw. She competed against nine thousand other Karaoke hopefuls to win the spot. Producers from ABC saw her WeFest performance and contacted her for this new show on ABC.

Cassandra Jopp – Contestant on Karaoke Battle USA: “One day I got a call from My boyfriend at work and he said I just got off the phone with somebody from ABC who saw your WeFest video and they want you to audition for this show for this new show that's coming up.”

Although Jopp could not say much about the show because it hasn't aired yet, she did say she hopes the show will open up the doors for her to pursue her dreams of becoming a country singer. But said regardless of the results she will continue to follow her dreams.

We'll find out how Jopp did tomorrow night. Karaoke Battle USA starts at 8 PM right here on WDAY.
