EGF Police Department To Get $40,000 Update
The East Grand Forks Police dispatch area is getting a $40,000 update. The City Council approved the budget request Tuesday night. Chief Mike Hedlund said $14,000 will go towards technological updates.

The East Grand Forks Police dispatch area is getting a 40-thousand dollar update.
The East Grand Forks City Council approved the budget request tonight.
Chief Mike Hedlund said $14,000 will go towards technological updates.
Including replacement of the current phone system and new video monitor.
The rest of the money will go for remodeling, like new work stations and flooring.
According to Hedlund, the new technology and work space will make dispatch more time efficient.
Right now they are confined to a small room, and their computer system is slow and outdated.
