The North Dakota Air National Guard is showing off its latest addition to the base in Fargo. A ribbon cutting helped dedicate the new $6.5 million dollar fire station which is located closer to the runway. That will reduce response time by 70%, something the FAA requires. The new building more than doubles the size of the old facility from 1955.

Rep. Rick Berg – (R) North Dakota: “What this component does is that it helps expand what we're trying to do and that's bring the world to Fargo and also share some of our common sense in what we're doing with the rest of the world.”

The US Air Force paid for the new building.
