The Grand Forks Herald reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/oKPOWM ) that winds toppled more than 50 large trees, including some evergreens 60-70 feet tall.
National Weather Service reports say fallen trees damaged at least five houses, a mobile home and multiple vehicles. Winds damaged an elevator, bent street signs, tore metal siding off commercial buildings and blew down about half a dozen utility poles.
In Grand Forks, more than 1 ½ inches of rain led to street flooding.
