If you haven't already picked out that perfect Christmas tree, now is the time. With just 14 days until Christmas, one tree expert in Grand Forks weighs in on what you should look for.
Looking for the perfect Christmas Tree can be difficult. For Dennis Styer buying a real tree is tradition.
"I've always had a real tree when I set one up. I don't know, it just goes from tradition I guess, we've all ways had a real tree," said Dennis Stayer who's buy this years Christmas tree.
Phil Kroetsch with T&C Trees in Grand Forks says when deciding to buy a real or fake tree, real has its advantages.
"It would defiantly be the smell, you know you get to come home and have the nice Christmas tree smell other than that it has a more traditional look to it then a fake tree," said Phil Kretsch, Co-Owner of T&C Trees.
So when looking for that perfect Christmas tree you have to know what tree you want, long needle or short needle, and make sure there are no brown or bare spots.
"That doesn't mean that its the perfect Christmas tree but it just something that a family can look at and say that's the one this year," said Kroetsch.
"I don't know if there is a perfect one I guess it depends on your decorations and your expectations," said Styer.
Kroetsch says tree says have been good so far, and expect business to increase closer to Christmas.
