UPDATED: Woman wanted by Otter Tail authorities apprehended in traffic stop

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 21-year-old woman this afternoon who was wanted after escaping custody Saturday.

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. – The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 21-year-old woman this afternoon who was wanted after escaping custody Saturday.

Amanda Jo Waddell was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. today during a traffic stop in Fergus Falls, located about 50 miles southeast of Fargo.

She is being taken to the Otter Tail County Detention Facility for an outstanding theft warrant and escaping from custody, the sheriff’s office reports.

Waddell, of Fergus Falls, ran from a Lake Region Healthcare parking lot at 4:39 p.m. Saturday while being escorted by a detention officer.
