WDAZ Anchor Terry Dullum Battling Prostate CancerDullum says he was informed about the diagnosis this week after test results from an earlier routine physical.
WDAZ 5pm news anchor Terry Dullum has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dullum says he was informed about the diagnosis this week after test results from an earlier routine physical.
Dullum will have surgery in December, and says he doesn't expect to miss too many broadcast or Dullum File reports because of the illness. "We talked about options, the best of which for me is to surgically remove the offending organ and then, move on. Which is what we're going to do," Dullum says.
He has been with WDAZ news for 34 years, anchoring the 5pm newscast for 12 of those years. Go to www.areavoices.com/dullumfile to hear Terry tell the story in his own words now, and throughout his treatment.
