BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Transportation Department officials say 14 snowplows have been involved in crashes with other vehicles since Oct. 1.

Officials say five of the crashes occurred on Monday.

Spokeswoman Jamie Olson says none of the crashes this year have resulted in deaths or serious injuries. She says 13 of the crashes this year involved motorists crashing into snowplows. She says one crash involved a snowplow crashing into another vehicle.

The agency says North Dakota has 10 to 15 crashes annually involving snowplows.

Officials say drivers should stay well back of the plows, and remain patient.
