Software Glitch Affects Renewal Notices

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The state Transportation Department says 33,000 vehicle owners in North Dakota may not have received their vehicle registration renewal notice this month because of a computer software problem.
It said owners should check their license plates to make sure registration tabs are up to date.
The DOT said it sent 305,000 renewal notices for registrations that are due in December. The notice is not needed to renew a registration.
