Names Of Children Killed in Grand Forks Crash Released

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of the people involved in the crash that killed two children Wednesday morning near Grand Forks.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of the people involved in the crash that killed two children Wednesday morning near Grand Forks.

Dead are 8-year old Kaylee-Jo Marie Boyer and her 5-year old brother, Kevin Boyer III. The driver of the 1995 GMC Van they were riding in was Kevin Boyer Jr., 39 of rural Grand Forks. He and a third passenger, XXAXX (pronounced Zax) Boyer, age 3, were injured in the accident and transported to Altru Hospital. They are both listed in satisfactory condition.

The driver of the second vehicle involved, a 2005 Volvo Semi, was Steven C. Nelson, 64, of Jamestown, ND. He was treated and released from Altru Hospital yesterday.

The crash took place at about 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 2 and the Airport Road west of Grand Forks and is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
