Grand Forks area churches, businesses, and organizations are putting together a free Christmas Eve dinner so that one needs to be alone on the holiday.
This year is the 38th annual Community Christmas Eve Dinner at the St. Michael's Youth Center.
Volunteers have cooked and sliced 52 turkeys and one family donated 90 pies for Friday's dinner.
There will also be Christmas music and a visit from Santa.
Last Christmas Eve, volunteers served 800 meals and delivered 400 more.
Organizers say everyone is invited.
"The whole community and surrounding communities sent out information to all the churches in Grand Forks and surrounding areas inviting people to come and share Christmas with us," Christmas Eve dinner co-chair Cadence Youngberg said.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Michael's Youth Center.
Dinner will be served from 3 until 6 p.m.
If you need a ride or would like a meal delivered, call (701)772-2624 and leave a message.
