This Christmas season people are not just giving to their families but to people in need.

Friday was the last day for the Salvation Army's Biggest fundraiser of the year. The Salvation Army says they have met their $110,000 goal by bell-ringing alone. Their total goal is to reach $240,000 for the year.

"These funds are used throughout the year. We're here everyday for people providing food and helping to pay rent and utilities and other crisis people have in their lives through out the year," said Maj. Harold Baugh with the Salvation Army.

If you would still like to donate, you can send money to the Salvation Army at 1600 University Avenue, Grand Forks.
