2 Hurt in Snowmobile Wrecks Near Leonard, ND

Two snowmobilers were injured Friday morning when separate sleds went airborne after striking a drainage ditch near Leonard. The two male victims — one was an adult — were taken by ambulance to a Fargo hospital. Their names were not released and their conditions were not known.

LEONARD, N.D. (AP) — Two snowmobilers were injured Friday morning when separate sleds went airborne after striking a drainage ditch near Leonard.

The two male victims — one was an adult — were taken by ambulance to a Fargo hospital. Their names were not released and their conditions were not known.

Ransom County Sheriff Darren Benneweis told The Forum that the injuries weren't life-threatening but they were serious.

The accident happened during a father-son snowmobile outing, about 9:30 a.m. eight miles southwest of Leonard.
