Bond set for Fargo restaurant robbery suspect

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Bond has been set at $50,000 cash for a Minnesota man accused of trying to rob a fast food restaurant in Fargo.
The Forum newspaper reports (http://bit.ly/suu6e4 ) that 30-year-old Andrew Salus of Duluth, Minn., was arraigned on a felony robbery charge at the hospital where he is recovering from cuts and burns police say he suffered in a struggle with McDonald's employees late Sunday.
Salus faces a felony robbery charge. He is being assigned a public defender.
During the attempted robbery, Salus allegedly struck a restaurant manager several times in the head with a handgun, causing a cut that required staples. Police say the manager also broke his ankle during the scuffle over the gun, and Salus was burned by cooking grease or oil.
