Rural St. Hilaire Home a Total Loss After Fire

There were no injuries in a Tuesday morning house fire about four miles southwest of St. Hilaire, MN. Jack Srnsky was in the home at the time, but was able to make it out of the house through a window.

There were no injuries in a Tuesday morning house fire about four miles southwest of St. Hilaire, MN. Jack Srnsky was in the home at the time, but was able to make it out of the house through a window, Thief River Falls radio reports.

Srnsky was taken by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center in Thief River Falls. He was treated and released later in the day. The home is considered a total loss.

St. Hilaire firefighters were dispatched to the home shortly after 5 a.m. and were on the scene for about four hours. The Thief River Falls Fire Department also responded to the fire.

The cause of the house fire remains unknown.
