Grand Forks Seniors Feel Christmas Spirit

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Christmas spirit is felt by Grand Forks seniors. For the second year in a row, the Mamas and the Papas volunteer group gave nearly 300 seniors in Tufte Manor and Valley Eldercare, more than just presents.

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Christmas spirit is felt by Grand Forks seniors. For the second year in a row, the Mamas and the Papas volunteer group gave nearly 300 seniors in Tufte Manor and Valley Eldercare, more than just presents.

They were also treated to cookies and cider, music, a Christmas story reading, and a flower for every woman.

Volunteer Kelly Foley says, “Very, very good response. They're very surprised when they get their gifts. They're glad that they get to have a Christmas program to watch, and they've enjoyed the music all day. It's been a wonderful thing.”

The group gave meals to employees working at those homes.
