(WDAY TV) -- A 74-year old landlord, convicted of running over a former tenant, collapsed in court today as he was sentenced to 2-years in prison.
Al Vetter maintains he did not mean to run over Brian Hemphill, and begged the judge to spare him from prison.
But his aggravated assault conviction carries a minimum 2-year sentence, because a jury heard the case.
Vetter is appealing the sentence. His family planned to post bail immediately.
