If you have an alarm system in your home or in your business, the Grand Forks County Sheriff wants to hear from you.
Sheriff Bob Rost said he wants you to call the sheriff's office with your contact information.
Having an updated contact list will help the sheriff's office as they respond to alarms that go off.
Rost said they do not have information for many alarms in the county.
Knowing who to contact, should alarms go off, saves the county time and money.
"A ton of money. If we have to sit out on an alarm call for a half hour or an hour while we try to locate the owner and that's a lot of time," said Rost
To update your alarm system information, call the sheriff's office at 701-780-8280.
They want your name, business name, address, alarm company's name and the numbers to reach you should your alarm go off.
