The Community Violence Intervention Center is finding ways to improve how to help people in Grand Forks.

The Coordinated Community Response Project looks at data collected at the center.

Data is based on domestic and sexual violence law enforcement reports.

From there, leaders can see how domestic violence cases are handled every year.

This can help future crimes.

"It can show us what we are doing really well, but also where the weak spots and then what we can do is design training to help all of us to improve our response," said Kristi Hall-Jiran, executive director for the CVIC.

Law enforcement and prosecutors collaborated on the project.
