Many people notice a house being built along Highway 2 in Petersburg, ND.
But they may not know the story behind it.
The house has been built in the same location for about four or five years now, by students in the residential construction class at Dakota Prairie High School.
The students build the house from the ground up and say the project is coming along very nicely.
About 15 kids work on the house for almost two hours a day.
Principal Jared Schlenker says he feels the students are taking a valuable lessons from the project.
"We're not making money off the deal but these kids are learning valuable kills and anyone in the rural area knows that we have a definite need for skilled laborers," explained Principal Schlenker.
When the house has been completed it will be moved to a lake lot that has already been purchased by someone interested in the house.
Schlenker says there is a waiting list of people who are interested in having the students build a house for them.
