For the 3rd year in a row, University of North Dakota students are collecting prom dresses to help those who can't afford them.

The Nonprofit Leadership Student Association is asking for gently-used prom dresses.

On February 25th and 26th, the group will be selling their dresses for $75 or less. The sale will take place at the Hughes Fine Arts Center on the UND campus.

The money raised will go to St. Vincent de Paul of Grand Forks and to the student association.

The group says this has been the best year yet for donations.

"As they know what's going on they're very willing to donate and they're opening up their homes and hearts to our cause and it's been great," said Karen McMahln, the Executive Chair of the Nonprofit Leadership Student Association.

The students are teaming up with the Forx Roller Derby Girls by collecting dresses after their first home game on February 19th at TJ's Sports Bar in Grand Forks.
