Police Investigate Call of Body Seen in Trunk

A Grand Forks resident says they saw a body in the trunk of a car and now police are asking for help in determining whether it was a prank or foul play was involved.

Here's what police say happened. They got a call from a person who saw a tan-colored car park in a lot in the 700 block of 28th Avenue South at about five o'clock last night. The eyewitness saw the driver get out and open the trunk and that's when they believed they saw a person in the trunk. The driver quickly closed the trunk and drove away eastbound on 28th Avenue South.
