GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks man accused of assaulting a man who had just been hit by a car has pleaded guilty to terrorizing and assault.

If a judge approves the plea agreement, 33-year-old Justin Teague will serve 1 ½ years in prison.

Teague was arrested last October after a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a man having a leg amputated below the knee. Authorities say Teague was a passenger in the car that hit the man and that Teague assaulted him after the crash. He also was accused of fighting with someone who stopped to help the man and threatening to kill a police officer.

The driver of the car that authorities say hit the man is scheduled for trial in late March.
