There are people who refuse to leave their homes on this day. Some fear the worst on Friday the 13th - specifically, the number 13 sends superstitious signals down our spines. But some are having some life-changing and even “shoot-em" up times with this day.

Meet David and Julie Flakker, newly married on Friday the 13th. They tried other days.

Julie Flakker – Married Today: “When we saw Friday the 13th, it was kind of fitting for the whole relationship, so we went with it.”

And so with no other available dates, the two tied the knot at the Cass County Courthouse this afternoon, friends and family watching and documenting, love on Friday the 13th.

David Flakker – Married : At work I took some ribbing about it, but I never put much stock in the conventional wisdom, it's just a different day of the month.

Julie Flakker: “A lot of jokes, because we said "we're getting married this Friday," and they said, "oh, the 13th?."

It's not just wedding brides who are a little squeamish about Friday the 13th. Some time's hotel guests have a problem with sleeping on the 13th floor. At the downtown Fargo Radisson, there is a 13th floor. In fact, it is home to the post Presidential Suite, but just in case you are wondering, not all guests who get assigned a room on the 13th floor, will take it.

Lindsey Gunderson – Fargo Radisson: “There are times most definitely, and you just accommodate to what they need.”

On this day, who is willing to stay in room 1313 on the 13th.

At Fargo's Red River Regional Marksmanship Center they are preparing for a Friday the 13th shoot out with the Zombies. Tom Hanson made believers of the ghoulish and living dead. His Desert Eagle 44 magnum, no match for the Zombies.

Tom Hanson – Shooting Zombies: “You can have a lot of fun shooting.”

I think he got him.
