Altru Ends Walk-In Flu Clinic

Friday, November 6, was the last day for the walk-in flu clinic at Altru.
The clinic was set up to handle people with flu-like symptoms in an area that would keep them separated from other patients.
The clinic averaged about 50 patients a day during its first two weeks, but Altru says that has tapered off to about 10 a day recently. Altru says it can handle those people at its regular and urgent care clinics and in the emergency room.
The walk-in clinic will re-open if the number of cases surges again.
