Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- UND football coach Chris Mussman hasn't named a starting quarterback yet for this fall. But, North Carolina transfer Braden Hanson looks to be pulling away from the competition.

Hanson took most of the reps with the first team in Saturday's scrimmage,

and was efficient, completing 8 of 11 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.

But, Mussman says the development needs to continue.

Mussman says, "I thought he had his best day with us. He's still struggling a little bit with the verbage and the huddle calls."

Hanson says, "I'm not where I want to be. But, I'm getting better. I just need to do a better job of not making mental mistakes in calls inside the huddle and at the line."
