After barely forty minutes of deliberation, a jury has found a former Moorhead City Council member and MSUM's public safety director guilty of careless driving. The charge stemmed from Greg Lemke's role in a car accident on Februrary 16th with MSUM student Angelica Varriano.

Varriano told authorites Lemke slammed his brakes in front of her, and then didn't allow her to pass him. When she tried, she said Lemke sped up and their cars collided when she attempted to pull in front of him. Lemke says it was Varriano who was driving recklessly.
