A piece of history in the region went up in flames this weekend thanks to Mother Nature. Lightning hit an auto parts store and auto body shop in Parkers Prairie.

One of the volunteer firefighters, who answered the call found his Napa Store on fire. Todd Quick called it the worst scenario.

The 8,000 square foot building was lost. The fire also destroyed several vehicles, including a convertible and jet ski. Damage is estimated at $600,000.

Todd Quick – Napa Auto Parts Store: “Just have to look forward. Hopefully a year from now we'll look back and try and forget about it.”

Both businesses say they plan on re-building at the same site.
