Grand Forks Lends Fargo Its Spider Sandbag Machine

Grand Forks is once again helping Fargo with their sandbagging operation.

Grand Forks is once again helping Fargo with their sandbagging operation.

Grand Forks is allowing Fargo use its Spider sandbag machine. The machine can fill 55 hundred sandbags an hour if its being constantly used.

This is the third year that Grand Forks has offered its assistance in Fargo's sandbagging effort.

The Grand Forks Public Information says Grand Forks has no need for its sandbag machine this year.

"So we still have the facilities and we still have the ability we also have the luxury of being able to loan that to others that maybe in greater need for sand bags," said Kevin Dean with Grand Forks Public Information.

Dean says Grand Forks will have nearly 20 thousand sandbags on hand as an emergency reserve.
