Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- It's a new chapter in the lives of more than 450 students in the Grand Forks Public School District.

Red River and Central High School grads turned their tassels at the Alerus Center today.

236 students graduated in the Red River class of 20-12. Central High School had 197 students.

Family members and school administrators say they're proud of the students' accomplishments.

Dr. Larry Nybladh, Grand Forks Superintendent, says, "it's very exciting to see them having been made good choices in the academic arena and also just in their life that allow them to come to the point where they actually have a diploma in hand and are leaving here for the next phase of their life."

Plus, 35 students graduated from Community High School last week.
