FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University President Dean Bresciani is urging students to help fill sandbags as Fargo gears up for another spring flood fight. He's promising a free meal at the president's house to the group that donates the most hours.

The Forum reports that Bresciani issued his challenge to fraternities and sororities, residence halls, athletic teams and other groups.

Student Body President Kevin Black says the challenge will get students excited but won't be the only thing motivating them. He says students have pride in their institution and the community and want to do their part.

The National Weather Service is predicting a third straight year of major flooding along the Red River. The city wants to have 3 million sandbags at the ready.
