BELCOURT, N.D. (AP) — The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa is getting nearly a million dollars to help hire firefighters and recruit volunteer firefighters.
North Dakota's congressional delegation says the $926,000 is through a federal Department of Homeland Security program designed to strengthen the nation's ability to respond to fires and fire-related hazards.
