FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Police say a West Fargo school bus driver arrested in early February had a blood-alcohol level that was more three times the legal limit for driving.
West Fargo Police told The Forum newspaper that 59-year-old Steven C. Sauer had a blood alcohol level of 0.27 percent when he drove a school bus into a snow bank on Feb. 2.
Sauer was on his way to pick up a group of children when he was arrested.
Sauer was employed by Valley Bus Co., a contractor that runs bus routes for schools in Fargo and West Fargo. He was fired following his arrest for drunken driving.
