The Grand Forks Roller Derby Team is ready for anything as they play their first home bout.

The Forx Roller Derby Girls, or Sugar Beaters, formed in May of last year and practice two days a week.

Team members vary in age from 21 to almost 50.

The team has been practicing hard to play the Deadwood Renegade Regulators for the first time.

"It's basically a big dream come true for all of us. A lot of blood, sweat and tears have been put into this league and a lot of hard work and this is our payoff," derby member Chris Knutson said.

The Forx Derby Girls' next game is April 30th against the FM Derby girls in Grand Forks.
