Power Outage Hits EGF Point Neighborhood Monday Morning

It may have been a challenge for some starting their Monday in East Grand Forks due to a power outage.
It's estimated that about a two thirds of the homes in the point neighborhood area were without electricity from 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.
East Grand Forks Water and Light says an underground broke, causing the power failure. As soon as the broken cable was located, power was rerouted and returned to affected customers.
